Stomach Soluble Active Humic Acid Capsules are ideal when you need active, quick help and need the detoxifying or gastrointestinal support of humic acid immediately, whether for gastrointestinal complaints or in case of food poisoning, diarrhoea or indigestion. However, it may cause irritation in people with sensitive stomachs, especially when taken on an empty stomach. Also, the effect is not as long-lasting as with the small intestine-soluble Optimum capsule.

What is in the capsule, and where it comes from
Leonardite: the raw material
The active substance of the capsule is humic acid, which we obtain from leonardite. Leonardite is a sedimentary rock tens of millions of years old: dead plant matter that transformed slowly, sealed off from oxygen. It is neither synthetic nor a plant extract, but an organic substance of mineral origin.
Why the humic acid content is on the label
The preparation contains at least 50% humic acid in dry matter. This number matters because humic acid content differs greatly from source to source, and the weight of the capsule alone says nothing about how much is inside.
Water solubility
The humic acid used is highly water-soluble. This property depends on the quality of the raw material, which is why the label states it separately.
Dissolving in the stomach or in the small intestine
We have two capsule types. The Aktív capsule shell dissolves in the stomach, the Optimum shell beyond the stomach, in the small intestine. The difference is in the shell; the filling is the same.
The small intestine is the main site of nutrient absorption: most of what passes from food into the body is absorbed here. The small intestine also moves its contents along more slowly than the stomach, so a substance released there meets the absorbing surface over a longer stretch. This is why Optimum is chosen by those with a sensitive stomach or those planning a longer course.
